Livermore, CA

We are seeking a professional construction Estimator, based at at our Livermore, California office. Extensive experience with project scopes of all sizes; with a heavy concentration in big-box retail, grocery, restaurants, industrial and entertainment markets. Position supports all aspects of subcontractor and supplier estimating and bidding processes. Prepares take-offs and pricing of all trades. Identifies and executes strategic opportunities within proposal to optimize the company's position in securing work. Operate and maintain proficiency in all internal estimating systems. Must be able to read, analyze and interpret architectural and engineering construction drawings and specifications. Strong negotiating skills. Financial and job cost accounting knowledge. Able to develop and maintain data management system for existing and new subcontractor and material supplier solicitation lists.

Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Bluebeam, MS Project and working knowledge of Smartbid or other estimating software. Must be a self-starter, assertive, highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and have a strong work ethic. Able to work overtime, as needed, to meet deadlines. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in various aspects of the commercial construction industry. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or graduated from an accredited college or university preferred. A valid driver's license and proof of employment eligibility required.

Majority of work is completed in an office setting; however, some local and domestic travel may be required (i.e., meetings/events/pre-bid conferences/site surveys).
